| Working from Home? Drop-In for Coffee |
|
|
Home-workers drop-in session, The Croft, last Tues of the month in Feb & March, anytime between 12.30 and 2pm. Our homeworkers drop-in brings those who run home-based businesses together to socialise and network informally, with the opportunity to call in for just a quick coffee or to stay and chat for longer - it's entirely up to you. Working from home can have many advantages, but it can also be quite isolating at times. It's not always so easy for home-workers to converse with others and network in the same way as those who work in a more populated environment. The meetings are organised by Chamber President Suzanne Gore, who says "Based from a home office myself, I recognise the challenges which this type of working brings. The Chamber’s aim is to provide a venue where people who run businesses from home can meet up informally with others in the same position, and to encourage a social and business support network throughout the local area.” Whether you are a Chamber member or not, employed or self-employed, full or part-time, and whatever type of business you are in - anyone who works from home, or who may be just thinking about working from home, is welcome to come along. Refreshments are free to Chamber members, with a small donation of £2.00 requested from non-members to cover costs. The meetings take place at The Croft, which is located next to St Bartholomew's Church in the High Street. Our homeworkers drop-in makes the news in Feb 2012. NOTE: Change of date for Feb & March 2012 to the last TUESDAY of the month. 2012 dates are: |
